Location & Population

Cedar City, Utah is located 252 miles south of Salt Lake City in Iron County. Cedar City is named after the Cedar-like Juniper trees scattered throughout the local area.  It is a popular resting place for tourist to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. The city has around 9% of the county's population. According to the 2000 Census, the population was 20,575.
