For Sale Trends in Utah

Utah County homes are selling for less so far this
year than at the same time last year. Lower prices have
attracted more buyers with 1,956 sold homes, 123
more homes than during the same period a year ago. The average
sold price for a Utah County home was $244,356. Current homes
listed on the market constitute nearly an 11 month inventory.
Utah County
homes that sold during the first half of the year averaged
$85.29 per square foot, $11.61 less than the state average! It is taking
nearly three months to
sell a home that is priced with the market.
Utah County condominiums are selling for
$19,000 less on average than last year. Condo prices offer
buyers a significant savings compared with single family
homes, selling for an average of $106,000 less. Condo prices
are significantly lower than the state average by over
$63,000.
Condos are taking an average of 9 more days to sell than
single family homes.
Conclusion: Low interest rates, great inventory and
very low prices currently favors buyers.
