Weber County Home Trends in Utah

Homes in Weber County are selling for 1% less in
price so far this year than at the same time last year.
Davis County
also had a low price decrease in this semi-annual study. Lower prices have
resulted in 1,163 single family homes sold during the first
six months of 2010, 43 more homes compared with the first six months of 2009. The average
sold price for a Weber County home was $178,492 which is
nearly $63,000 less than the state average. Current homes
for sale listed on the market constitute an 11 month inventory.
Weber County homes that sold during the first half of the year averaged
$80.09 per square foot. It is taking
less than three months to sell a home that is priced with the market.
Weber County condominiums are selling for
$7,000 less on average than last year. Prices for condominiums
are lower than single family
homes, saving buyers an average of $52,000. Weber condo prices
are also significantly lower than the state average by over
$76,500. Condos are taking an average of only 7 more days to sell than
single family homes.
Conclusion: Low home prices for
both single family homes and condos in Weber makes this real estate
market an attractive option for the Salt Lake area. Weber
home prices are nearly $100,000 less on average than neighboring
Davis County. Homes for sale in the
Ogden area
are
very attractive to buyers on a budget who do not mind
commuting.
